And we did. We slept until 10 o’clock, when the cleaning lady woke us with the obligatory doorbell ring and traditional call of “Housekeeping”. We told her to return around 11:30, at which time we left and got lunch at a deli up the block. We then ventured uptown and went to the new Apple store on the Upper West Side and I took the back of house tour. After that we went to F.A.O. Shwartz and got over $20 in candy on which we’ve snacked all day, to the point of stomach growls. We then walked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and stayed there for about two and a half hours. IT IS HUGE!!! We saw less than a third of the exhibits. We came home and inadvertently took a nap, after which we went to an Indian Restaurant by Bryant Park that only had these wraps that were really good, and pretty cheap. I got a call from Andrew (Blake’s wife’s brother, who lives with his wife in Manhattan), who met us at a bar for drinks. We discussed their move to New York, and he gave Rachel the name of the nanny agency where his wife, Katie, got her job. So, that was our day…whew!
