Note to Self
Dear 2010 me, 2011 me thinks you rock! You did a lot great things to set me up for a great year! I truly thank you for being brave enough to pick your life up and start a new one, which is pretty awesome btw. So, thanks again…oh, and I talked to 2009 you and he is pretty upset that he wasn’t the one who got to live in New York, but he has 2008 Josh to thank for that; I’m sure...

The Best Medicine
Yesterday I laughed so hard that I cried! God, it’s been a long time since that’s happened; it felt really good. Also, I just started watching Lost, literally right this second. I’m excited! I promise the new blog is coming…I’m going to post the new songs I’ve been writing and many more too come. I want to write a new song every week for a year!

Restored Notes
I added notes back to the blog, so just click on where it says how many comments there are to post a comment. Please leave feedback for the prior post, although I have a pretty great idea for my project.
The 100th Post!
Dear Beloved Followers,
Thank you for following me thus far. As per the title, this is my 100th post on my blog! What a milestone! I have two updates:
1. Yesterday, I watched Julie & Julia for the first time and became inspired. Her blog idea was an incredible undertaking and made me want to do something of the like. Also, being a huge fan of 30 Days (Morgan Spurlock’s documentary...

Updates
So, yesterday Steven Spielberg came in our store! Yes, that’s right, STEVEN SPIELBERG!!! And I was on lunch! UGH!!! he apparently left 5 minutes before I came on the floor, so I was still in the back of house. I’m still sick and now Rachel is getting sick, but we are watching The Shining right now, it’s Rachel’s first time to see it!!!
My, how time flies when you're...
Doing anything other than picking up your entire life and moving it 1,000 miles away to start a new one! I know that doesn’t roll off the tongue quite the old additive, but it is true. We have been here now for a month and a couple of days, but it feels like we have been here for much longer. For all of you who have visited New York, you know that when you are here for a few days, it flies...
Oh, the garden...
We are on out way to our first event at Madison Square Garden! Going to see the Knicks play the Rockets! Sorry Aly.
You life, online...
So, you can literally get anything online and delivered in New York. People at work order their lunch from this website that just has all these different delivery places and you can pick which one you want and get it delivered. We ordered our groceries though fresh direct today, and they are getting delivered tomorrow. Also, I ordered a pull-out couch this morning from a place in Downtown...
Digital Life, Lite
I have a love/hate relationship with this new calorie conscious craze that is sweeping the internet. Facebook, Youtube, and now The New York Times are leading the way in giving their users an option of browsing their sites more quickly and efficiently. One of the companies has the right idea, one lacks some key functionality, while the other simply doesn’t look any different. New York...
TV Shows 2010
Like the networks do at the end of every season, I have decided to evaluate my network’s lineup. If you read my 2009 Lineup, then you know that I have somewhat of an extensive TV show obsession. However, now that I am living in New York (also, without cable), I feel that I should free up some time for exploring the city. So, I have decided to cut some shows; drum roll please…From...
I thought it was over...
It being my consumption of Chick-fil-A; but I was wrong! Someone told me at work a few days ago that there is a Chick-fil-A at NYU’s cafeteria, but you have to have an ID to get in. However, I called today and asked if you indeed needed an ID to get in, but you don’t! Soooo…I will be having some very soon!
Livin' the dream...
So, when people ask me how I am doing, my usual response is “livin’ the dream”. Admittedly, this response is usually meant to be somewhat sarcastic. However, a few days ago Brian (a co-new transfer at work) asked me when we got to work, “How are you doing?”, to which I responded, “Livin’ the dream”. This time it was different though. As soon as I...
Moved
Sorry for the delay, but Rachel an I definitely moved to New York! I am currently in my first day at the Apple Fifth Avenue! Updates from today…rob pattinson’s new movie premieres tonight across the street at the Paris theatre and Gerard butler was in our store today! Also, moving to a city 1,000 miles away…not the easiest thing I’ve ever done.

Sweet home Alabama..
Sorry, had to end it that way. What a trip! It was exhausting and at times unheartening. However, I’m glad we got to do it and hopefully a move will come of it in the next week or so.
First train home, got to get on...
Or plane. We leave NYC tomorrow at 3:40 pm. It’s sad, but we are excited because we are hopefully coming back for good in like a week and a half!!! It all depends on what I hear from my job on Monday though. We went looking at apartments all day today. We saw six listings. The first four were pretty good; the third one was really awesome!!! If I get my job on Monday, then we are going...
Joey Ryan playing.
Here is the first performer Amber joined by Ian and others.
'Cause I don't wanna miss a thing...
But you have to! This city has way too much to do for it’s own good. So, tonight we had three events that we could attend. Andrew invited us to go with he and Katie to this free jazz concert at Lincoln Center, we had planned on going to see Ian Axel and some other people play at Rockwood Music Hall, and I learned yesterday that Philip Glass (one of the most influential composers in the...
Don't wake me, I plan on sleeping in..
And we did. We slept until 10 o’clock, when the cleaning lady woke us with the obligatory doorbell ring and traditional call of “Housekeeping”. We told her to return around 11:30, at which time we left and got lunch at a deli up the block. We then ventured uptown and went to the new Apple store on the Upper West Side and I took the back of house tour. After that we went to...
Hey, and the situation wasn't quite as intense as...
So, my interview was today and it was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought there was going to be a panel of managers doing the interview, but it turned out to be two managers. I think it went pretty well. I am supposed to hear something in the next day or two. Wish me luck!
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere...
We definitely just made it to laguardia! Hooray! I interview in 3 1/2 hours!
